Gupta Navaratri is a sacred and spiritually intense form of Navaratri dedicated to the hidden (gupta) worship of Divine Shakti. It is especially significant for sādhakas, yogis, and spiritual practitioners who follow mantra, tantra, and deep meditation practices.

Unlike the popular Navaratris (Chaitra and Sharadiya), Gupta Navaratri is observed quietly and inwardly, without public celebration. The focus is on inner purification, spiritual power, and self-realization.

Gupta Navaratri is celebrated twice a year:

  1. Magha Gupta Navaratri – in the month of Magha (January–February)
  2. Ashadha Gupta Navaratri – in the month of Ashadha (June–July)

Each lasts for nine days, from Pratipada (first lunar day) to Navami (ninth lunar day).

During Gupta Navaratri, special emphasis is given to the Mahāvidyās, the profound and powerful forms of the Divine Mother, such as:

Gupta Navaratri teaches that true devotion is inward. When the Divine Mother is worshipped in silence and sincerity, she awakens inner power, wisdom, and liberation.
